Holiday 2024

Holiday Archive | December 2024

This past December was the busiest holiday season for Saison to date! Our kitchen was bursting with cookies and our calendar was stacked with festive holiday events. While I often share inspiration with my blog posts (something I hope to keep up with more in 2025!), I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the beautiful projects from this past holiday season. From custom holiday cookie boxes for Gucci & Ulla Johnson to holiday spreads for Sézane, I'm so proud of each project.

Hope you enjoy this little recap!

xx Sammy

Sézane x Saison

We kicked off the holidays with three festive events for Sézane, a dream start to the season. I've admired Sézane for so long and have been living in their cozy knits for years, so this project was a special one for me. Inspired by abundant holiday tables and warming flavors, I absolutely loved creating these tablescapes and sourced some very special vintage tableware from friend Hilliary Bianca Salamanca's beautiful collection. Hilliary is such an inspiration and is a champion of circular fashion and sustainabel events, give her a follow @hilliaryb. Big thank you to the Sézane team, who were the absolute best to work with <3

Cookies, Cookies, Cookies!

The holiday season is all about cookies, from our own Saison holdiay cookies tins to custom cookie gifting for brands we love. We created custom cookie tins for Gucci & Ulla Johnson and created hundreds of sweet little cookie bags that were available at Dolce Vita stores every weekend throughout December. We baked a total of 10,000 cookies this season out of our small kitchen, a sight I truly never thought I'd see. From decadent chocolate ganache thumbprint cookies to loads of gingerbeads, rose shortbread and chocolate chai sablés, it was a cookie marathon day and night.

Bake Sale @ Pop Up Florist Holiday Café

This past year I've had the pleasure of working with Kelsie Hayes of Pop Up Florist on numerous projects and was so excited when she reached out about her incredibly festive and beautiful pop up holiday cafe at Bedford Studios. Nestled in the heart of the West Village, I stopped by on a cozy Sunday afternoon for a holiday bakesale with an assortment of cookie boxes and gingerbread cupcakes. It was such a treat to be amongst all her beautiful florals and to meet everyone who stopped by, including the best vintage selection from Gin for Lunch.

Stay tuned for the next post! With love, Sammy
